Captain vs President Day

The date for this successful and fun event has been set. It is on Sun 17th Oct from 1pm & open to ALL members. The format will be doubles sets and you will be selected to play for either the President's team or the Captain's team. No need to select a partner - we will do that for you. There will be a couple of grades to make sure everyone gets an afternoon of good tennis. The barbecue will be going and the bar will be open.

100+ Doubles Event

This event is not for everyone but it is bound to be lots of fun. To qualify, you and your doubles partner must have a combined age of 100 years or more. A 70 year old can play with a 30 year old, or a 55 year old can play with a 45 year old, and so on.

This is a prestigious event. The winners will have 'bragging rights' for 12 months and also their names will be inscribed on the honour board above the bar. Mark the date in your diary now - Sunday 7th November 2010.

Further details will be announced closer to the time, but it is envisaged that the format will be round robin with the 2 top pairs playing off in the final. All in one afternoon. We will start around 12 noon and conclude with the final at around 4-5pm. The bar will be open to quench the thirst of weary combatants and spectators and some sort of food will be available.
