Pennant
Tennis Victoria Winter Pennant is the largest and most competitive tennis offered in Victoria and is conducted from April to August, on Saturday and Sunday. It offers a singles/doubles format, covering all grades including masters, men and women.
Teams are selected by our Selection Committee in early February each year and if you are keen to be considered, please contact Louise Davoren on loudavoren@bigpond.com.
Summer Competition is conducted by the Bayside Tennis Association on Saturday afternoons from October to March, with a break over Christmas. Summer Competition can be singles, mixed and/or doubles for men and women. Teams are entered in August each year, if you are keen to be considered, please contact Louise Davoren on loudavoren@bigpond.com.
Mid-Week Competitions
Mid-week competitions at the club are the ideal social tennis event. Play some competitive tennis, meet other players and enjoy a refreshment afterwards. Non-members are welcome, with discounted rates for club members.
MONDAY NIGHT MIXED
This is a graded mixed competition where each team has 4 players. Play against your opposite number for 3 sets but with a different partner for each set. Includes light snacks and refreshments afterwards. Cost: $12 for members; $18 non-members. Contact Emma Kate on 0408 944 035 to join.
TUESDAY NIGHT MEN’S
This is a men’s competition where each player plays three matches – two doubles and one singles. Refreshments available afterwards. Cost: $10 for members; $20 for non-members; first night is free. Contact Bree on 0407 882 618 to join.
WEDNESDAY NIGHT MIXED
Same format as the Monday night mixed comp, contact Emma Kate on 0408 944 035 to enquire about joining.
LADIES IN-HOUSE DAY COMPS
The club has a long tradition of ladies in-house competition tennis, held each Wednesday and Friday mornings from 9am at the club. All levels of players are catered for and new players are always welcome to join – please contact Bree on 0407 882 618 to enquire about joining up. It’s fun, its competitive and a great cardio work out!

SATURDAY
The club has multiple teams participating in the Moorabbin and District Junior Tennis Association each Saturday morning starting at 8am. The mission of MDJTA is for children to learn, play and enjoy tennis. We cater for all levels and abilities of kids playing at BLTC and are the largest Junior club in the area.
